Trail Blazers’ programs emphasize a personal connection with the natural environment. Our program participants leave with an understanding that the natural environment is everywhere we live, work and learn, rather than something we get away to. Our Environmental Education offering is the ideal choice for day trips, weekend retreats, team-building programs and conferences. We cater to schools, corporations, youth groups, boys and girls scout clubs and churches.

Day and Overnight Trips

In partnership with the Nature Conservancy of New Jersey, we offer custom lessons and workshops in the form of day and overnight trips throughout the year. Our programs align closely with the New York and New Jersey State Learning Standards, which call for children to be able to read and listen to oral, written, and electronically produced texts from American and world literature; relate texts and performances to their own lives; and use oral and written language for self-expression and artistic creation. Under One Sky – Environmental leadership and Extended Learning

Seeks to empower youth to use their personal connection to the environment to improve their own community through an environmental justice framework, while developing self-confidence and strong leadership. This program is offered as a specialty sleep away camp program, year-round high school leadership program or in-school extended learning time after school program. Read more.
